Warhammer Vermintide II: Key Art and Illustration

April 1, 2018

The box and banner art of Warhammer: Vermintide II build on the in-game models by Fatshark and Rascals. After giving the assets a necessary overhaul to high resolution, we took the images to Photoshop for the background pass and final polish.

The maps shown below are featured in the intro cut-scene of the game. We combined the art of cartography with our love for medieval  illustration to create a result that mixes world information with the cartographer's imagination.

The tarot cards are also from the intro cut-scene. Metalic elements give the art deco-inspired illustration extra flair. The card themes feature Chaos symbols, reference to an 80s Skaven origin story called The Loathsome Ratmen And All Their Vile Kin, as well as our take on fantasy propaganda.

Fatshark's award-winning and critically acclaimed co-op meelee action is out now on PC, Xbox and PS4.
